Sweet Cardlets II – Cup of Kindness: Spellbinders

Hi Crafty Friends! I hope you are having a beautiful weekend! Today I wanted to stop in to share with you a beautiful new collection from Spellbinders – Sweet Cardlets II by Becca Feeken. This sweet set is adorable with a pot of tea, adorable cup, and dotted background ( & more). You can view the Sweet Cardlets II collection here. I had a lot of fun with this set and wanted to create a vintage and elegant feel to my card!

For todays I card I started by using my Glimmer Hot Foil System by Spellbinders. I started by foiling all the elements for today’s card. I find this to be the easiest while foiling. I foiled each of these elements using Bronze Foil (Spellbinders) – this is a part of the Essential Metallics Variety Pack.

• Dotted Background (3 times)
• Tea Pot
• Cup
• Sentiment
• Heart

Once everything was foiled, I trimmed each of the 3 dotted backgrounds using Nestabilities Etched Square dies. I trimmed these use the small square die. I trimmed all die cuts using my Spellbinders Platinum Machine.

I then used Altenew Artist Markers to color both the tea pot and the cup. Once these were colored, I die cut these using the coordinating dies included in this set. I wanted to add a bit of texture to the background. I used the Scallop Embossing Folder from Spellbinders to add texture to my card panel. I then adhered this to my card base. I glued my dotted squares to the background. Then I used foam tape for the tea pot, cup, hearts, and the sentiment strip.
