Hello Crafty Friends! I am super excited to celebrate the new Sunny Vibes release from Simon Says Stamp! The release is truly AMAZING and has something for everyone! You can take a look at the Sunny Vibes release here! For my first card I am sharing 2 new products with you, Soundwaves Embossing Folder, as well as the Color Blend Cardstock! I had so much fun creating today’s card, so let’s get started!
I started my card with the Color Blend Cardstock and the Soundwaves embossing folder. I chose a piece of the Color Blend cardstock and using the new Soundwaves folder. I embossed the panel using my die cutting machine. Once the panel was embossed, I distressed the panel using Picket Fence Paper Glaze, as well as Distress Crayon. I also added foil in sections to the glaze when it was a bit tacky! Once the panel was complete, I trimmed the panel using my Deckle Trimmer. I then inked the edges of the panel using Distress Ink and set it aside.
Next I inked Mixed Media cardstock using Distress Mica Stains in: Harvest Moon and Merry Mint. I sprayed the panel of paper using both colors and once the panel was dry, I die cut 3 of the butterflies using the Whirl Butterflies die set. I then added the antennae using a die from Birch Press Designs using black card stock. I then added Lindy’s Gang Embossing powder to the antennae for added texture.
Once the butterflies were complete, I adhered the panel onto a top folding A2 card base using liquid glue. I then adhered the butterflies to the card panel. I chose a sentiment from my Simon Says Stamp sentiment strips.
I had a lot of fun creating this card! It was super easy to put togehter – the color blend cardstock was so easy and fun to use! I love how easy it was to use, as well as to add a distress feel to the panel as well!
