Small Die of the Month: Sketched Floral Frames – Spellbinders

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome back! I love the club collections over at Spellbinders! I love seeing the new clubs each month and December is truly beautiful! Today I am using the new Small Die of the Month: Sketched Florals and Frame – So let’s get started on today’s card!

For today’s card I started by die cutting all of my flower and leaf elements. I die cut these using Neenah 80 lb. card stock. Once these were die cut I started to ink blend each of the florals. I used my Catherine Pooler Inks to do my ink blending. I used 2 shades of ink on each flower to give them some dimension and contrast. On the flower buds I also die cut some green card stock using Spellbinders card stock. Once all by blending was complete, it was time to adhere the top layer to each floral. I did this using liquid adhesive. I then set these aside to work on my card panel, leaves, and sentiment.

Next I dry embossed the Perfect Florets embossing folder onto Neenah 80 lb. card stock. I then trimmed this panel down and adhered this to an A2 card base. Next I heat embossed the leaves from the Small Die set with WOW embossing powder in Sea Turtle.

I then chose the new sentiment die set – Love you More. I die cut both the shadow and sentiment using Neenah card stock. I die cut the scripty sentiment 2 times and adhered these together using liquid glue. I then heat embossed these using WOW Embossing Powder in Made You Blush. I then adhered these to the shadow background.

Next I determined the placement of the sentiment, flowers, and leaves. Once I was happy with the card layout, I adhered everything down using both liquid glue and foam adhesive.

This card was simple to put together. The dies are truly stunning and offer so much detail! I love this set and can’t wait to use it again!
