Hello Crafty friends I am super excited to be back today joining the team over at Simon Says Stamp for their Monday Challenge! This week the theme is Party Time! I had a lot of fun putting together an Anniversary card to celebrate our new theme this week! We can’t wait to see your take on this week’s theme! On today’s card I used a couple new goodies from Simon Says Stamp newest release – Hugs! So let’s get started!
I started today’s card with the awesome Jumbled Hearts Background stamp! I just love the style of this background stamp! I stamped the background onto Canson watercolor card stock. I stamped the image in embossing ink and heat set the background using white embossing powder. I then taped the background down onto a hard board. Next I added a bit of water to the paper, then added Industrial Chic Magicals in the color Time Travel Teal. I spritzed the background with additional water and allowed the panel to dry on it’s own. Once the background was dry, I added a bit more Time Travel Teal and Glitzy Gold powders to the background. I set the panel aside to dry.
Next I die cut the Love sentiment using Luxe Glitter card stock. WOW this paper is so pretty! I die cut the sentiment one time using the black glitter card stock and 2 more times using white card stock. I adhered the layers together using liquid glue.
I wanted to a pop of color to the card front to add more fun to our Party Theme! I chose a gelli print from my stash in shades of pink. I die cut the heart using the Dotted Heart die. I added a bit of gold powder for added texture and shine – WOW Karin’s Dream. Next I die cut the background using a rectangle die from my stash. I adhered the Jumbled Hearts Background onto an A2 card base using liquid glue. I popped up the love die cut, as well as the heart using foam tape. I added a sub sentiment to complete the card.
I had so much fun this month joining Simon Says Stamp and the amazing designers! Thank you for having me! I can’t wait to see your Party Time cards! I have another idea for this week’s theme as well! I am hoping to get a little more crafty time in so I can give it a go!
