I have been working on taking the Online Road Trip Coloring class by Kathy Racoosin. I am loving this class and have learned a lot from her already! Her coloring is beyond amazing and I am always looking for ways to improve mine! In her class she talks about leaving a sweet spot (white space), as well as the nooks and crannies. I’m working on leaving a white space! I love the idea of adding pencils to the nooks and crannies! I truly feel like it has given my designs more texture and depth! If you haven’t already, be sure to check out her class! I truly LOVE IT!
I started by stamping this beautiful succulent by Picket Fence using versafine ink onto Canson watercolor paper. I took her advice (Kathy Rac) and didn’t heat emboss this image. I then water colored this image using my tombow dual brush pens. I used 2 colors for this card. I took my time to let the layers dry and then add more color once it was dry!
I then cut my stamped image into a square. I added some metallic watercolor splatter to sections of my card panel. I decided to add it mainly to the white space for some extra detail. I chose a sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh and heat embossed this in white embossing powder. I popped the sentiment onto the panel using foam tape and adhered the panel to my black card base.
