Lindy’s Gang – Color Challenge: January

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome back! I am excited to be here today to share with you the January Color Challenge over at Lindy’s Gang! I am super excited to be joining their team and here is my first project using the January Color Challenge! You can find more details on the color Challenge over on the Lindy’s Blog – click here! So let’s get started!

For today’s card I used 3 of the colors from the challenge using several sets of Magical Powders from Lindy’s. I used powders from: Drop Dead Diva and Summer Break! I used all 3 colors and added the challenge ingredient – hearts to my card as well!

I started by placing the Simon Says Stamp Radiant Hearts stencil onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. I taped it down and then added Ranger Crackle Paste over the stencil. I allowed this to dry and “crackle.” Yeah – it was now time to play with my magical powders!!!!!!!!

I started in the bottom left corner and then worked my way to the top right corner using shades of pink, yellow and blue. I sprinkled a bit of Hi Maintenance Magenta, spritzed with water and let the powder do it’s magic! I continued with Bling-Y-Blonde, and then Sassy Sapphire (these are from the Drop Dead Diva Collection). I allowed these to dry and then did the same using The Summer Break Collection. I allowed the Magicals to dry on their own.

Next I worked on my sentiment. I used the Simon Says Stamp – Happy Birthday Die. I die cut the shadow using vellum and then the sentiment using black card stock. I cut 3 layers and adhered them together with liquid glue.

I added a pre-made sub sentiment from Simon as well!
