Hello Crafty friends! I am super excited to join Hero Arts today for the Countdown to the July 2024 Hero Studio & Monthly Minis/Extraordinary Extras! We are celebrating this weekend with a two day countdown sharing beautiful inspiration all weekend using the Hero Studio Card Kit of the Month, as well as Monthly Minis & Extraordinary Extras. Today I am sharing inspriration with you using the Hero Studio card Kit! I had a lot of fun creating today’s card and I can’t wait for you to see the full kit! I know you will love it! So let’s get started!

I started by stamping the background onto Luxe White watercolor paper. I stamped the image using Hero Hues Pigment Ink in Onyx. I then heat set the image using clear embossing powder. I then watercolored the rocks using Hero Arts Liquid watercolors. I used the following colors: Orange, Moss, Dandelion, Coffee, Terracotta, Jungle Mist, and Antique Brown.

I watercolored the panel in layers, being sure to allow each layer to dry before adding more color. I love using the liquid watercolors, they are truly beautiful and easy to use and blend together. Once the watercoloring was complete, I trimmed the panel using the Hero Arts Nesting Rectangle die set. I set the panel aside to dry.

Next I stamped 2 silhouette images from the July Card Kit onto Palm cardstock. I used Hero Hues pigment ink in Onyx and heat set them with clear embossing powder. I then die cut the silhouette images using dies within the card kit. I die cut 2 more layers of each silhouette and adhered them together with Precision Glue.

Next I die cut a frame from Palm cardstock using the Hero Arts Wood Frame Infinity Die. On the frame I added Core Ink in: Caramel, Espresso, and Pitch Black Ink. I also added Hero Wax in black. I then adhered all the layers onto a top folding card base. I completed the card with a piece of twine.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I will be back on Monday with more inspiration using this month’s kit, as well as the extras! Be sure to check out the Hero Arts Blog this weekend for all the AMAZING inspiration on the 2 day Countdown!
