Hi Friends! Today I am sharing a card using some new to me WOW embossing powders and gorgeous supplies from Simon Says Stamp! WOW has a monthly challenge and this month is All About Coffee! Here is my take on this awesome monthly challenge theme!
I love coffee and always look forward to my morning cup(s) of coffee! The colors on my card and my WOW embossing powders make me think of coffee! I hope you like it! To begin my card I started with the Simon Says Stamp stencil – Tumbling Leaves. I placed this on a piece of Canson XL watercolor card. I used Ranger Texture crackle paste. I let the paste dry! It is so cool to see it crackle when its dry! Once it was dry, I chose 2 colors of Distress Oxide Spray – Shabby Shutters and Tumbled Glass! I love these sprays! I sprayed a bit of each color, one at a time, then added water to allow the color to move. I let it dry between layers and added color until I had enough. To add a bit more dimension of color, I used Distress Inks in Evergreen Bough, Walnut Stain, and Mustard Seed. I placed these on a piece of acetate and spritzed water, I then “smooshed” the acetate onto my watercolor card panel. I completed this several times. I love the natural look this gives. I set my panel aside to dry.
Now it was time to emboss and add more dimension and sparkle! I started with the beautiful Eucalyptus Leaves from Simon Says Stamp. I prepared a piece of watercolor card using Distress Ink with Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo. I set it aside to dry. Once it was dry, I cut out multiple Eucalyptus leaves using the gorgeous die from Simon. To add interest to the leaves I used my WOW embossing ink pad and dabbed the leaves in a random fashion on the ink pad. I then added Decadent Ruby embossing Powder. This powder is from the Ancient Jewels Trio collection. I heat set these. I then used the Hello die from Altenew and die cut this 2 times. Once out of white cardstock and one out of maroon. I used the beautiful new Ulla’s Cognac embossing powder. I heat set this 2 times! I love the deep color I achieved using the maroon paper and the Ulla’s Coganc powder! So fun! I chose a coffee sentiment from my stash and heat set this using Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder.
I added a few metallic splatters to my card panel. I chose a piece of blue pattern paper from my stash to compliment the blues in my background. I adhered everything together!
I hope you like it! Come join in the fun on the WOW monthly challenge!

What a cool card, I love your color palette. It’s reminds my of the color sea foam green lichen on trees when I was growing up. Striking with the gold. Awesome background!
