Hello Crafty friends! I am super EXCITED to be back to celebrate a new release from Simon Says Stamp – Hello Gorgeous! WOW – this title is perfect for this release – it is AMAZING and full of GORGEOUS goodies!!!!!!! You can view the new release here! For today’s card I am sharing the new Fanfare Stencil! I had lots of fun – so let’s get started!
I started my card with the GORGEOUS Fanfare stencil! I love this large stencil and the beautiful details and textures within it! I started with a gelli print from my background stash! I love using backgrounds from my stash and felt this one coordinated beautifully with the look I was going for. I placed the stencil on top of my gelli print, then placed it on my Make Art Station. I then used modeling paste through the Fanfare Stencil in various places. I wanted a textured look and only did some parts of the stencil on top of my gelli print. I then took off the stencil and washed it.
Next I chose the Burnt Toffee Embossing Powder from WOW and placed this directly on top of the modeling paste in various places. I did not cover all of the white paste, as I wanted some of the white paste to show through. I then heat set the powder. I love this look as it may “bubble” a little but this gives added texture!
Next I couldn’t wait to use the new Foundry Wax from Tim Holtz. For my project today I chose the color Gilded. I added this to various places and then heat set as well! The shine is truly incredible!!!!!!!
Once my background was complete I die cut this using a rectangle die and set this aside. Next I die cut the Dotted Heart die on kraft card stock. I then ink blended on top of the heart using Distress Oxide inks in Frayed Burlap and Ground Espresso. I then added the Gilded Foundry wax to the edges of the heart. I added a heart from my stash from a previous project that I had heat embossed in gold.
Next I die cut the sentiment. I used the CZ Designs Happy Birthday die set from the Lucky to Know You release. I die cut the shadow in kraft card stock, then the inner words using black card stock. I die cut the inner words 3 times and adhered them together with liquid glue. I then added clear embossing powder over the top. I then adhered these together.
To complete the card I added some May Arts twine around the card panel, then adhered this to an A2 card base. I adhered the sentiment and hearts with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.
I had so much fun creating today’s card! I hope you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much Henriette! HUGS! For the background I used my gelli plate along with acrylic paints. I don’t recall exact colors, it had a maroon, gold, and light blue I believe.
