Hello Crafty Friends! I hope you are doing well. Today’s card features the beautiful Fresh Daisies embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp. This folder is from the September card kit. So let’s get started!
I started by placing a piece of Canson Watercolor card stock inside my folder. I ran the folder through my die cutting machine. Next I colored one layer of the floral images and leaves using my Distress Watercolor Pencils from Tim Holtz. After one layer was complete I spritzed the panel using Lindy’s Gang Starburst Spray in the color Grab a Guy Gold. I set the panel aside to dry.
Once the panel was dry, I added more color using my Distress watercolor pencils. I used a variety of shades of color. I love the way these pencils blend together and the vibrancy of color is amazing. I continued to build layers of color until I was happy with the result.
Once I was happy with the color I placed my paper back in my folder (Fresh Daisies) and ran it through my die cutting machine. I love the details within this folder.
Next I trimmed my panel using my paper trimmer. Next I added Distress Ink in various sections of the panel in the color Vintage Photo. I wanted to add a bit more distressing to the panel, I used 2 colors of embossing glaze: Weathered Wood and Vintage Photo. I added embossing ink with a small blending tool and applied the glaze, then heat set with my heat tool.
To complete my card I chose a sentiment from the Sunflower Fields stamp set. I stamped the sentiment using Versafine ink. I chose a piece of pattern paper from a previous Card Kit, I trimmed the paper to an A2 size card, then adhered the embossed panel with liquid glue.
I had so much fun creating today’s card. I hope you like it too! I will be back soon!
