Fall Traditions: Spellbinders

Hi Crafty Friends! I hope you had a great weekend! I love the gorgeous new Fall Traditions release from Spellbinders! You can see the release here – Fall Traditions Collection. For today’s card I am using the Autumn Leaves Etched Dies and the Falling Leaves Embossing Folder. I had so much fun using these 2 sets, so let’s get started!

I started by using the Falling Leaves Embossing Folder . I used white card stock for the background panel, placed it inside the folder and ran it through my platinum machine. The details in this folder are so beautiful! I trimmed the panel using a rectangle die and then set this aside. Next I started to die cut the leaves. I chose 4 colors of coordinating card stock (Warm – Smooth Paper Pad – see link below) and die cut leaves. I used a variety of the leaves from the set. I completed all my die cutting for the card and then started to plan how I would assemble the leaves on the front of the embossed panel.

As I was deciding where my leaves would go, I felt I needed a bit more pop of color in the center of the card. So I trimmed strips of card stock using the same colors, as well as a gold glitter paper. I glued the strips down onto the embossed card panel, trimmed each side of the strips and then started to glue the leaves down. I used a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. Once my leaves were adhered I chose a sentiment from the May 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month. I stamped this in Versafine Ink and trimmed the sentiment strip and adhered this with foam tape.

To complete my card I added a twine bow and a few clear sequins.
