Hi Crafty friends! I am super excited to help celebrate an AMAZING new release from Simon Says Stamp! It truly is a magical time over at Simon Says Stamp this month! This release is truly AMAZING and I know you will love it too! You can click here – to see the new release! For today’s card I am sharing the new Bunch of Balloons die set! This die is awesome and I had so much fun creating a flat shaker card! Let’s get started!
When I first saw this new die – Bunch of Balloons I immediately wanted to create a flat shaker card! I have been inspired by a few crafty friends to give this a go! Let me say, it is so much fun and so easy! I started with my background for today’s card! I actually had this rainbow colored background in my stash! A little while back I spent an afternoon creating backgrounds with both my gelli plate and my Dina Wakley Gloss sprays! This background was created with gloss sprays! I started by trimming the panel down using a rectangle die. Next I took a piece of packing from my stash. I was excited to try a flat shaker with packaging! It is super easy!
I flipped over my background and then applied red tape around the 4 edges of the card panel. Next I trimmed down the packaging to be slightly bigger than my card panel. The packaging I chose worked out pretty well so I didn’t need to trim it to much. I wanted about 3/4 inch on each side. I then adhered 3 sides of the packaging, leaving one side open to add my sequins.
Once these were adhered I did trim with my scissors a little of the “extra” packaging to make it neater. I then looked in my stash and chose the sequins to add! I added some silver sequins, and 2 different mixes of stars! Super fun and easy! Next I adhered the last side of my card panel down.
Next I die cut the Bunch of Balloons die using Neenah 80 lb. card stock. I die cut this 3 times and then adhered these together using my glue stick. Next I die cut the sentiment using the Happy Birthday die. I did this 2x on Neenah card stock and then 1 time from the panel I used for the background of my shaker. I then adhered the sentiments together and added this to the base layer as well.
To complete the card I adhered the shaker panel to the front of an A2 base with red line tape, then adhered the balloons, as well as the sentiment.
I had so much fun putting this together! I know you will love this release! Come check it out!
Happy DieCember!
