Diamond Floral Frame – Spellbinders

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be back today to share a gorgeous set with you from Spellbinders! Today’s card features the beautiful Diamond Floral Frame Glimmer Hot foil plate and die set from Spellbinders! This glimmer and die set is one of the new sets in Yana’s Blooming Birthday Collection! I am loving everything in this collection! I had so much fun working with this set! So let’s get started!

To begin my card I thought about which colors I wanted to use! I wanted to go for a bright and simple design to feature the clean lines of the Diamond Floral Glimmer & Die set. I chose 3 main colors for my card: silver, pink, and teal. I loved the color combo! Once I chose my colors it was time to start foiling! This is the fun part! I started by heating up my Spellbinders Glimmer hot foil system. While the machine is heating up, I trimmed down my Silver Foil using the Spellbinders Quick Trimmer! I love this trimmer and it makes it so easy to trim the foil. I cut everything down and once my machine was heated up I began foiling. I foiled all my images and my sentiment, using 2 sets from Spellbinders: Diamond Floral Frame Glimmer Hot Plate & die set and Blooming Floral Background Glimmer Hot Plate and Die set. I then added a bit of color to several of the floral images and leaves using my Zig brush markers. Once everything was foiled & colored, I used the coordinating dies within both sets to die cut all of my foiled images using my Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine.

I set these aside, as I wanted to work on my background. I wanted to add a bit of interest and shine to my teal cardstock. I added the Twinkle Lights Glimmer plate to the background. I followed the same process for foiling using this plate on my teal cardstock using silver foil. I then die cut the background panel using the Essential Rectangles die set. I used the largest rectangle in this set. It was then time to put my card together. I added a bit of dimension to the diamond shape, as well as to my sentiment, and some of the floral images.
