Hello Crafty Friends! I am excited to be back today to share a couple holiday tags using the beautiful Christmas Flea Market Finds collection by Cathe Holden for Spellbinders! This is an amazing vintage and rustic feel collection! I was super excited to create with a few goodies from this collection! You can view the Christmas Flea Market Finds collection here! So let’s get started!

For today’s project I started with a couple of tags. I loved the ephemera in this collection and thought it would be perfect to create a couple handmade tags for the holidays! On the tags I started with 2 colors of Distress Stain – Antique Linen and Crushed Olive. I applied these colors in layers, allowed them to dry and spritzed with water. I repeated the process until I had the look I was after.
Next I chose the ephemera for each tag. I used 2 different sets of ephemera for these tags, I have them linked below. Each collection is so beautiful and have so many wonderful options to choose from! Once I had the pieces I wanted to use I added Distress Oxide Inks to them for an “aged” look. I used Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso.

Next I used the Compliments of the Season Clear Stamp set from this collection. I chose a red dye ink from my stash and added stamping to each tag in various spots on the backgrounds for added texture. After my stamping was complete, I added more texture to the tags using WOW Embossing Powder in Weathered Gold. I added embossing ink to various sections of the tag and then heat set using my heat tool. Once this was complete I added more texture using white gesso and a brayer tool on the background. I allowed this to dry, then added a few splatters using gold and white paints.

Next I determined the placement for the ephemera on each tag. I adhered them with liquid glue and foam tape. I added sentiments and twine to complete the tags.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Natasha
