Hello Crafty friends! I wanted to stop in to share a card I created for the Unity Stamp Company Blog today using the beautiful Boho Blooms Stamp Set! So let’s get started!
I started with a piece of Hot Press Watercolor paper and Distress Inks in: Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, and Crushed Olive. I created an ink smooshed background by placing the ink on my work surface, spritzing with water, then smooshing the paper into the ink. I dry with my heat tool, spritz with water and pick up the color with a paper towel. I repeat this process several times until I have the color and texture I am looking for. Next I chose a stamp from the Boho Blooms stamp set. I stamped the floral in Verasafine Clair Ink and then heat set with clear embossing powder. I colored the image using my Distress Watercolor Pencils. I work in layers to color and once set, I trimmed the image with my Deckle Trimmer and distressed the edges with my distress tool and ink, then set it aside.
Next I chose the Swirls embossing folder from Sizzix/Tim Holtz. I dry embossed the background with a piece of Kraft Cardstock from the Warm colors pack. I then sanded sections of the folder using my sanding tool. I then added Distress Oxide Inks for added texture and colors in: Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, and Scorched Timber. I then added a bit of Hero Wax in Gold for added texture and shine. I trimmed the panel with my Deckle Trimmer, as well as distressed the edges.
I completed my card by adhering a piece of pattern paper to an A2 card base, distressed with oxides, then adhered my dry embossed panel with liquid glue. I adhered the Boho Blooms stamp image paired with a piece of pattern paper from the Bohemian Dreams paper pack. I offset the 2 squares with a piece of cheesecloth which was inked with Lindy’s Moon Shadow spray. I added a couple heart die cuts, and a Unity Sentiment Strip to complete my card!
I had a lot of fun creating today’s card! I love this stamp set! I appreciate your support! Product links for today’s card are listed below. I appreciate your support, if you shop through these links I earn a small commission with no extra cost to you. Have a great week!
