Happy Friday Crafty friends! I am so excited to be back with another card featuring the gorgeous Blooming Floral Background Glimmer Hot Plate and Die set by Spellbinders. This die is gorgeous and so easy to create a background on an A2 card base! This glimmer foil and die set is a part of Yana’s Blooming Birthday Collection!
So let’s get started! When I am creating using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil system – I begin by heating the glimmer machine! It takes just a few minutes to heat up. While the machine is heating up, I begin to prepare my card base, trim foil using my Quick Trimmer, and prepare any other needed supplies. Preparing the supplies to foil has been such a wonderful and helpful tip when creating! I started with the Blooming Floral Background Glimmer Hot Plate and Die set. This set has a large floral plate. It allows you to rotate the die two times to create a background on an A2 card base! So much fun and a beautiful background is created in just a few minutes. When working with a large glimmer plates I use the hinge method to secure the die to card stock and to foil. You can check out videos on Yana’s You Tube page where she shares videos and tips on foiling, as well as how to do the Hinge Method! I have learned so much from her videos! I foiled the large die on the Spellbinders – Lagoon Cardstock using a new foil – Lavendar Petal. I loved the color combo and wanted a spring feel! I repeated this process a second time by turning the die!
Once the background was created I continued foiling the sentiment onto Neenah 80lb cardstock, as well as the circle using the new Essential Due Lines Glimmer Circle! I foiled these in Lavendar Petal as well. I then trimmed down the the A2 card base using the Essential Rectangles die set from Spellbinders, using my Platinum 6. I die cut the sentiment using the die from the Blooming Floral Background Glimmer Hot Plate and Die set.
I then die cut some floral images and leaves from the March Small Die of the Month. I die cut these using blues, greens, and purples. I then adhered my background panel onto an A2 card base, foam mounted the circle, as well as the sentiment. To complete the card I added the flower and leaf images.
I love this glimmer plate! The possibilities are endless!
