Hi Crafty friends! I am super excited to be back today to share a new Unity Stamp Company Membership post using the March Kit of the Month – A Good Man and Some Butterflies! I had a lot of fun creating today’s tags! I LOVE the Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Company – each month you will receive an AMAZING monthly kit delivered right to your door full of red rubber stamps! It is an amazing kit – you can find all the details here (Kit of Month Membership details). I have also linked more membership details below, as well as all of the Monthly Memberships from Unity Stamp Company! I know you will love them as much as I do! So let’s get started!
I fell in love with the boots from this mont’s kit and had a lot of fun creating a masculine card! It was fun to get inky and grungy! I started by stamping the boots onto Neenah card stock using Verasafine Clair Ink. I then heat embossed the boots using clear embossing powder. Next I colored in the boots using distress oxide inks. Once the ink blending was complete, I fussy cut the boots and set them aside.
Next I chose a background from my gelli print stash! On the background I created texture using the Wings and Petals Ledger background stamp, as well as the new Plaid Builder stencil. Once the background was stamped, I trimmed the panel using my Tim Holtz Deckle edge trimmer. I distressed the edges a bit more using my scissors, then ink blended the edges using distress ink. I added a few splatter using white and metallic colors, then set it aside to dry.
Next I stamped a few pieces to add as elements around/behind the boots. In this month’s kit their is an awesome texture stamp. I stamped this onto kraft cardstock, then die cut the background using a circle die. I also stamped the #4 from the Tiny Number Tags stamp set.
Next I inked the edges of all my elements: circle background, #4, pattern paper, as well as my sentiment (from this mont’s kit) using distress ink.
Once everything was inked, I stamped the Just a Number Background onto a piece of green cardstock. I wanted to use this as a mat behind my gelli print. To complete my card, I determined placement of all my pieces and then adhered them together using both liquid glue and foam tape.
Be sure to check out the AMAZING Sale happening over at Unity Stamp Company too and the new releases! I know you will love them!
