Be sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp blog for a list of participating designers. Have fun and visit designers blogs, there are different promotions and coupon codes available! Have fun! I have shared mine with you below!
So let’s get this party started with the new amazing and adorable stamp set – Halloween Gnomies! I had a blast with this set, the gnomes are so cute and perfect for a fall/Halloween card!
I started by stamping the images for my card onto Copic Blending Card – Xpress it. I stamped the images using Momento ink as I wanted to use alcohol markers on today’s card. For my coloring today I am using Tombow Alcohol Markers! I am really enjoying these markers! They blend beautifully together! I used the following sets (Blue, Orange, Yellow, Red, as well as P502, P403, and p947. I colored in my stamped images working from darkest to lightest. Once everything was colored, I trimmed the images using my scan and cut. This stamp set also has a coordinating die set, I have linked this below for you as well. I added some white details using my gel pen.
Next I started to work on my background for my gnomies. I started with a piece of Neenah card stock. I wanted to create an ink blended background. I used the following Distress Oxide colors: Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, and Squeezed Lemonade! I completed 2 ink blended backgrounds using these colors, as one will be die cut. Be sure to check out the amazing new Simon says Stamp blending brushes! They are AMAZING, so soft and colorful! Once my background was blended, I added a few sprinkles of water. I then die cut one of the background using the Sunburst Die from Simon. I adhered the sunburst background on top of the ink blended panel. To add a bit more dimension, I added some perfect pearls using the splatter technique.
Next I adhered my gnomes and the pumpkins and candy corn to the front of my card. I chose a sentiment from the stamp set and heat embossed this on black card stock using white powder from WOW. I then adhered the panel to an A2 card base and my Fall/Halloween card is complete!
I had so much fun with today’s card! I love this new set! It was a blast to work with! I hope you enjoyed it too!
Be sure to join in tomorrow 9/3 for the next Facebook Live at 12:00 EST. It is also the first collaboration!!!!!! I can’t wait to see who it will be!
