Hi Crafty friends! I am super excited to be participating in a blog hop today celebrating both WOW Embossing Powders and Time for Tea Designs! Thank you so much for stopping by today! I am excited to share my card with you using products from both WOW Embossing Powder and Time for Tea Designs! The hop begins over on the WOW Blog with the super talented Marion Emberson, you can click here to start from the beginning. I have more details below including the next stop on on the hop, as well as all the AWESOME details on the GIVEAWAY too! So let’s get started!
I had so much fun using products from both WOW Embossing Powders and Time for Tea Designs. For today’s card I am using the adorable Birthday Bear stamp and coordinating die set from Time for Tea Designs. I started by stamping the bear and ballon image from the set on Bristol Smooth paper. I stamped in Verasafine Clair ink (Nocturne) and heat set using clear embossing powder. I then colored my image using Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. I started with my lightest layer, then added more color working to my darkest layer. I made sure to allow each layer time to dry before adding more color. Once the images were colored I die cut them using the coordinating die set. I did add some details to the image using colored pencils and Arteza water brush markers as well. I then set these aside to work on my background.
To create the background I started with an A2 panel of mixed media card stock (taped down to my glass board). I then sprinkled 2 colors of Magical Powders/Shakers onto the background. I used Oom Pah Pah Pink (shaker) and Milky Way White (Magical Powder) – these are from Lindy’s Gang. I gently spritzed the powders with water and allowed them to do their magic! It’s so fun to watch! I allowed this panel to dry.
Once the panel was dry I placed the Confetti Circle Stencil from WOW in the bottom left corner. I then applied WOW Embossing ink over the stencil using a blending brush. Next I added Golden Glow Embossing Powder over the stencil and then heat set! This color gives such a beautiful glow! I also stamped the heart image in the bear set and heat set with the same embossing powder.
Next I die cut the panel using a rectangle die and set this panel aside. I die cut a piece of pink card stock and embossed the panel using an embossing folder. I trimmed this panel and then adhered this to a gray card base. Next I die cut 2 scallop circles and adhered this over the embossed stencil/powder. I stamped the Make a Wish sentiment from the bear set and embossed this using the same color of powder. I used the coordinating die cut to trim the sentiment. I popped up the bear, as well as the sentiment using foam tape.
To celebrate this fun collaboration both WOW! Embossing Powder will be giving away a gift voucher for their stores! WOW! will be offering a £/$20 voucher for either their US or UK sites and Time For Tea Designs will be offering a £20 voucher to their store!
